Old Testament Overview  -|-  Jay Grubb and others

This class is a video series by Western Seminary with Dr. Carl Laney. 

It will overview the Old Testament, where you will learn:

• The big picture of the Old Testament through a selective study of Old Testament books

• To develop an understanding of how the books contribute to the overall Old Testament story

• To follow the development of God's redemptive plan for the nation of Israel and beyond

• Selective theological themes that are foundational to Old Testament understanding

• To engage people, places, and topics of importance to the unfolding of the Old Testament narrative

• Through study and discussion, to make appropriate life applications from the lessons

Common Struggles in the Christian Life  -|-  various teachers

 

One of the great benefits of a team sport is knowing that you are all in it together. On a team, you have the same opponent, you have a common goal, and you face the same struggles. That’s true in the Christian life as well. We are all on the same team, and believe or not, we all have common struggles in this life - struggles like consistent bible reading, improving your prayer life, and being faithful in evangelism. And instead of dealing with those struggles alone, in the church, we can learn to share our struggles and fight through them together.​​​
